Flyfishing

The recreational fly fishing dam offers fly fishing strictly on a catch and release basis only. In the winter months, Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) are extremely active whilst in the summer months , the Canary Kurper (Chetia flaviventris) and the largemouth and smallmouth bass (Micropterus salmoides and Micropterus dolomieu) are about. We also have a few large Grass Carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) who keep the dam clean and although extremely unlikely, should you accidently hook one please take extreme care in returning it to the water in the correct way. Day visitors are welcome, as long as booking is done in advance.
